About & editorial policy

Geo Intelligence is an independent information hub for Earth scientists and AI practitioners, exploring how artificial intelligence helps us understand, observe and predict our planet.

Collection and review

Papers are discovered by research field across journals through Crossref, within a rolling 24-month publication window. Coverage depends on deposited metadata and query matching; this is not an exhaustive literature database. Collection proceeds in batches and can resume. New records remain unpublished until an editor reviews them. Older curated records may remain on the website.

Journal highlighting

We highlight journals only when the 2025 CAS journal ranking lists both major-category tier 1 and Top status. A Top journal in tier 2 does not qualify. Journal rankings never limit collection and do not establish the quality of an individual paper.

The Chinese Academy of Sciences library announced that it would stop updating the table from 2026. We therefore identify this dataset explicitly as the 2025 edition. Official announcement ↗

The reference table contains 21772 journal records, of which 1451 meet both criteria across all disciplines. Matching uses journal names and available ISSNs; missing or conflicting matches receive no badge.

Examples of qualifying journals

Examples only, not a collection whitelist. The admin catalog supports searching the complete reference table.

Author browsing

Core authors are selected by the site editor. Counts include only published records on this website, not lifetime output, citations or academic rankings. Profiles group metadata by valid ORCID where available, otherwise by full name. Different ORCIDs remain separate; name-only groups can contain namesakes, and spelling variants may remain separate.

Translations and reading guides

Titles appear in their original form when their language matches the selected version. Otherwise, the translated title is marked “Machine translation”, with the original displayed directly below. The same rule applies in both directions. Source links, journal names and publication dates are preserved.

An “AI summary” is a brief synthesis of the source, not the authors’ abstract or a full translation. Translations aim to preserve the original meaning. Consult the source for terminology, methods and the scope of research findings.

Detailed editorial notes distinguish the research question, methods, findings and limitations. Metadata-only records remain accessible but are excluded from the indexable article sitemap until a complete language-specific editorial note is saved.
